The Bill envisages scholarships in the rate of UAH 750 for the students of the higher education establishments of I-II level of accreditation, and in the rate of UAH 900 for the students of the higher education establishments of III-IV level of accreditation.
Pursuant to the Resolution, leaders of the central executive bodies shall award the scholarships since 1 September for one academic year on the grounds of results of the summer term control of the previous academic year. The scholarships shall be paid at the expense of funds allocated for the provision of scholarships in the general fund of the cost estimate of the higher education establishments.
According to the document, the Cabinet of Ministers is obliged to envisage annul funds during the elaboration of the State Budget necessary for the social scholarships of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine granting.
According to the resolution, social scholarships of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine is presupposed for the orphaned children and children from low-income-families studying at the expense of the State Budget in the state and communal higher educational institutions of I-IV level of accreditation.
Candidates for the scholarship are nominated by the academic councils.
Social scholarships of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine are nominated annually from 1 January for the term of 1 natural year by the Ministry on Science and Education order according to the relevant proposition of the central bodies of the executive power to which the higher educational establishments are subordinated.
